Katherine Heigl reveals with the world regarding her "white bubble childhood" and how it has influenced how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. She revealed in an interview in the past that when it comes to the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister who is adopted in South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. "I inquired of my sister, Meg, if she had been treated one way when she was out in public with our parents and a different way in the time she was on her own without anyone else. Meg said, 'Oh yes, I've seen the whole thing and I've been there all the time! Heigl talked to parents about when she realized her ignorance. She said that she was angry and felt that she needed to channel her anger towards helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl has a four year old son with her 13-year spouse, Josh Kelley. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. then Adalaide whom was eight years old old and is Black in 2012.
