Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just six years old. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. And in 1970, the Romanian gymnast won. The first time she competed in an international event in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975 she was awarded 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first female ever to perform a backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began skating figure alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performances.
